I decided to pursue MSK Matters because I’ve always valued the intersection between healthcare, education, and community. Through my experiences working in orthopaedics as a medical assistant and scribe, I’ve seen how musculoskeletal conditions can affect every aspect of a patient’s daily life, and how meaningful compassionate, patient-centered care can be in helping people regain comfort, mobility, and confidence. I’m especially passionate about making healthcare information feel more approachable and human, which is what drew me to an editorial role within the journal. As an Editorial Editor, I hope to help create content that is not only informative and engaging, but also reflective of the diverse experiences and voices within medicine and the MSK community.
